顫動 - Sendō n. s. - Vibration, flickering, tremor, oscillation.
The name Sendō comes originally from my favorite character, Sendo Takeshi, from the early 2000's anime Hajime no Ippo. Sendo, a boxer from Osaka, fights in order to learn the meaning of true strength. His dedication to the sport of boxing has always inspired me.
Take a different reading of Sendo in Japanese, however, and we get 顫動 (sendō), meaning vibration. Music manifests as a form of vibration in sound, and given that the music I enjoy frequently involves wave oscillators and synths, I found Sendō to be a fitting name for my music project.
So far this project has taken me to some cool places, including DJ-ing in Copenhagen and collaborations with Swedish rap artist Anton Ånell. I'm excited to see where it can take me next.
